Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the website, services and products of BilQ Technologies, a proprietorship registered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. By using our website, engaging us for work, or creating an account on Legistro or Velatria, you agree to these terms.

01What we provide

We provide software development, web design and managed hosting services to clients, and we operate our own products, Legistro and Velatria. The specific scope, timeline and price of any client engagement is set out in a written proposal or agreement. Where that agreement conflicts with these terms, the agreement takes precedence.

02Accounts

• You must be 18 or older and provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or threatens the security of our systems.

03Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use our services for anything unlawful, fraudulent or misleading.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts or data.
• Scrape, copy or resell data from our products without written permission.
• Interfere with, overload or disrupt our infrastructure.
• Impersonate another person, or verify a phone number you do not control.
• Send unsolicited bulk messages through any facility we provide.

04Fees and payment

• Client project fees, milestones and payment schedule are set out in the agreed proposal. Invoices are payable within the period stated on the invoice.
• Subscription fees for our products are billed in advance for the chosen period and renew automatically until cancelled.
• All fees are in Indian Rupees and exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise. GST is charged at the applicable rate.
• Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals. Fees already paid for the current period are not refunded except where required by law or where we have failed to provide the service.
• We may suspend services on accounts with overdue payment after giving notice.

05Intellectual property

On full payment for a client project, ownership of the custom code and design deliverables created specifically for that project passes to the client. We retain ownership of our pre-existing tools, libraries, frameworks and general know-how, and grant a perpetual licence to use them as part of the delivered work.

All rights in our own products, including Legistro and Velatria, their software, branding and compiled datasets, remain with BilQ Technologies. You keep ownership of the content you upload, and grant us the limited licence needed to store, process and display it in order to run the service.

06Court and legal information

Legistro indexes information published by Indian courts on public portals. That information is provided as a convenience and may be delayed, incomplete or incorrect at source. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace verification against the court record. You are responsible for confirming hearing dates, case status and any other detail before relying on it. BilQ Technologies is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on indexed court information.

07Availability

We work to keep our services running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Services may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of failures at upstream providers, government portals or telecom networks outside our control. Where a written service level applies to a client engagement, that document governs.

08Third-party services

Our services depend on third parties, including hosting providers, payment gateways, and messaging providers such as Meta Platforms, Inc. for WhatsApp delivery. Your use of those services through us is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for their acts or omissions.

09Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, BilQ Technologies is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of profit, business, goodwill or data. Our total liability arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10Indemnity

You agree to indemnify BilQ Technologies against claims, losses and reasonable legal costs arising from your breach of these terms, your unlawful use of the services, or content you upload that infringes another person's rights.

11Termination

You may stop using the services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue a service, in which case we give reasonable notice. On termination, your right to use the services ends. Clauses on intellectual property, liability, indemnity and governing law survive.

12Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date. For material changes, we notify account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.

13Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or the services, subject to any obligation to attempt resolution in good faith first.
